James Ward-Prowse, a good midfielder of Southampton Expect to score goals from free-kicks per season on a par with former Manchester United star David Beckham. And former Newcastle striker Laurent Roberts.

The England international has scored nine goals ufabet this season, five of them coming from outside the box. More than any player in the Premier League and only Saints legend Matthew Le Tissier has scored more in a single season, scoring seven in 1993/. 94 and 8 goals in 1994/95

The other four goals of the referee came from direct free-kicks. He needs just one more goal to equal the previous record of five goals in a single season between David Beckham in 2000/01 and Laurent Robert in 2001/02.

James Ward-Plaus has also scored 14 goals from free-kicks in the Premier League. Just four behind Beckham’s all-time record of 18.

The other four goals scored by Ward-Prowse have been from direct free kicks and should he score another on Saturday, the midfielder would take his free-kick tally to five this season, equalling the feat both Beckham in 2000-01 and Robert in 2001-02 achieved in a single Premier League campaign.

Ward-Prowse is also closing in on the all-time Premier League record for goals scored from direct free kicks, with the Saints captain just four behind Beckham at the top of the standings with 18.

One of Ward-Prowse’s four free kicks scored this season came against Crystal Palace in the reverse fixture. When Southampton drew 2-2 at Selhurst Park in December.
